Birthday Party

"…I was dozing off."

Isaac stared silently at Felix and told the truth. He, who approached him without hesitation, smirks and pulls his lips. Isaac turned his eyes away as if he were stuck in his eyes with gently folding eyes and lips drawing a cool line.

"How was the gift?”

One step closer, Felix asked confidently. Only then did Isaac groan for his 'birthday present'. Yeah, that was left, too. The thought of it doubles the discomfort.

"Benjamin liked Benjamin.”

Not knowing what to say first, Isaac scratched his cheek and muttered.

"Of course. What did I say? You said you liked kids."

"There were some kids who were scared."

"Most people like it."

Isaac shrugged his shoulders as if he had lost to Felix, who remained stubborn until the end. It's true that a lot of kids liked it, and Benjamin was obviously excited. But…….

"It's an undeserved gift."

Isaac finally brought up what he wanted to say from the moment he first saw a pony. Felix, who was standing with his hand in his pocket, tilted his head. It was a face that I didn't understand at all.

"Where in the world is an undeserved gift? It's up to the giver, and you can take it."

"…it's hard to handle. I'm not as rich as you are, and it's hard to manage a horse."

"Do you think I'll give you a horse as a gift and tell you to take a horse?"

As if he didn't want to hear Isaac's reason for beating around the bush, Felix cut it in one stroke. No wonder he looked a little sulky. Isaac lost his words and just blinked.

"I've got a stable, too. It's not far from here, and they'll take care of your horse there. You don't have anything to worry about, so whenever Benjamin says he wants to ride, you can go and give him a ride. I wish I could learn how to ride properly."
