"Because it's my first day at work."
"Oh…."
She seemed to check my name tag once again.
Maximilian Schmidt. Although there was a separate Korean name, adoptive parents gave a new German name to prevent discrimination. The first son was Christian, and fortunately, they were cultured people who did not make any distinction between their biological sons and their adopted sons.
Actually, when I came to Korea, I thought about what to do when I introduce myself. The Korean name would have been comfortable in many ways, but it was already a name that did not exist legally. I was hesitant because the fact that I have this name even though I am not of mixed race indicates the complexity of my birth.
But it wasn't that bad. The reactions that I couldn't ask because it was my private life and wondered inside, I was kind of funny.
In the meantime, a limousine bus arrived at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2.
"See you at the show-up, then."
I got up first and got off the bus.
As I was about to enter the terminal, I saw a female passenger struggling among the people taking out their luggage from the bus cargo compartment. I leaned over for her and pulled out a big trunk load that had been pushed inside. It was heavier than I thought, so I put it on the sidewalk block.
"Oh, thank you! Uh, ah... thank you so much!"
It was cute to see my uniform's name tag and change greetings. He nodded and entered the terminal. It was not difficult to find the office of the company's operations officials because of the route that I had memorized in advance.
"Good morning."
"Hello."
"Good morning."
More than 30 pilots and technical crews were working together. Unable to adapt to the chaotic atmosphere, I grabbed an employee passing by and asked recklessly.
"A350 is a pilot in command (PIC) on a schedule to Singapore. I'm looking for someone to fly with me today."
